Basic Function: The CFO reports directly to the physician owners / BOD and is accountable for the non-clinical administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Operations

• Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team (i.e., Owners, COO and CFO)
• Manage the accounting, human resources, payroll, legal, tax, and contracting functions
• Prepare all financial reports, including the quarterly, and any ad-hoc, Board of Director presentations, which are currently processed thru QuickBooks Desktop and prepared on Excel
• Develop financial planning and forecasting models as appropriate
• Work directly with broker for employee benefit plans and for building, facility and property insurance which includes responsibility for rate negotiations, claims, etc.  The land and building are owned by the physicians through a separate entity which is also managed by the CFO within QuickBooks.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals
• Perform the first review of all medical and non-medical contracts in close coordination with the COO, who oversees the clinic-side of the business
•  Manage cash flow and cash forecasts; invest discretionary funds, as appropriate.
• Maintain a fiduciary role on the company’s 401K Committee, along with the elected Owner / Chairman.  

Partners closely with the Company’s COO who oversees all staffing functions; IT / clinic systems; facility repairs & maintenance; and patient records.) 

The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration.  Solid experience with 401k audits is also a plus.  Healthcare accounting experience and a Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred.
